Aspen Infusion: Commercial Video Wall & Distributed Media Network
Commercial / High-End Residential
Project Overview
Engineered for high-density video throughput and intuitive commercial automation, the Aspen Infusion facility in Chandler, Arizona represents a modern approach to healthcare entertainment and architectural AV distribution. Designed around a centralized 28U head-end infrastructure, the site integrates 30 total ultra-thin commercial displays, dynamic video wall processing, and isolated multi-zone acoustics without disrupting the clean, modern interior aesthetic.
01 / Enterprise Video Distribution & Wall Canvas
The core challenge of the installation required driving uncompressed 4K video signal to 26 individual Samsung 65-inch displays mounted across patient treatment bays, waiting suites, and staff corridors, while simultaneously orchestrating a high-impact feature video wall.
To achieve zero-latency switching and flawless signal synchronization, every display was fitted with a dedicated WyreStorm Video Matrix endpoint over an isolated subnetwork. The centerpiece of the main lobby features a 2×2 architectural video wall constructed from four calibrated Samsung 65-inch displays. Rather than relying on external processors, video processing and layout scaling are driven natively through the WyreStorm matrix matrix core, giving facility managers the ability to toggle seamlessly between single-canvas branding visuals and discrete multi-channel feeds.
02 / Multi-Zone Acoustic Infrastructure
Acoustic design across the medical center required strict zoning to keep ambient medical noise suppressed while offering tailored audio environments for staff and management:
- Main Facility & Patient Bays: 8x 8-inch high-output flush architectural in-ceiling speakers strategically mapped across 3 independent sound zones, powered by a central RTI distribution amplifier for even acoustic dispersion.
- Executive CEO Suite: An isolated, high-fidelity audio environment powered by a dedicated Sonos Amp driving architectural ceiling speakers, giving leadership individual streaming control independent of main facility background audio.
- Interactive Training Room: Equipped with dual Samsung 65-inch presentation displays, 4 local architectural speakers, and a dedicated flush-mounted 8-inch RTI in-wall touchscreen interface for simple presentation and source control.
03 / Head-End Infrastructure & VLAN Network Core
To protect the client’s internal medical record networks and preserve network bandwidth, the entire AV deployment operates on an air-gapped subnetwork hosted within a floor-standing 28U standalone head-end rack.
Dual Netgear enterprise managed switches provide the backbone for all AV-over-IP matrix traffic, isolating video packets from corporate traffic to ensure 100% uptime and broadcast storm protection. Automation and logic processing are handled via an enterprise RTI central controller, providing staff with simplified, automated power schedules and single-touch matrix switching across the entire 30-screen network.
